1. RAFFLE DRAWING Final drawing, see raffle calendar for results..

2. PRESIDENT’S REPORT JANICE * Gina is stepping down as raffle manager. We will need a new one next year. Treasurer and Depositing Secretary need background check. School improvement meeting tomorrow. Mrs. Wilson to explain school scores. Booster club needs more administration help for the turnabout dance. If not, no dance. Too much dirty dancing on dance floor. Janice to check with office about administration assistance with dance.

3. TREASURER’S REPORT KATHRYN *Written Report* Distribution Report also written

4. HAC Jude Makulec *On assignment committee- 2005-06 high school will be open choice-elementary neighborhood schools shows 70% of students are not in proximity of their homes per choice. *P.E. waivers use is down

by 1/2 according to Administration. * Zero hour still needs much support, petitions, board members and parents speaking out at the School Board Meetings. Next Board Meeting is Tuesday at 7 p.m. * 3 year plan -students get a recovery packet to do on their own if they fail a second time they will have to pay for the class on their own.

5. PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Mrs. Wilson * School Report Card Reviewed (can see result on the District Web Site) Auburn has had a decrease in mobility, stability is better, and is the 2nd chosen School in our district. Attendance was down It is mandatory that all Juniors take the ACT/Prairie State Exam. Based on Sub Groups we did not make adequate yearly progress (AYP) even though our participation numbers were up from 77.5 to 93.6%. Once a students enrolls in a school their progression is monitored through that school so if they drop out, it is reflected on the school. Drop out age is now 17. The goal is to keep students from freshman year through graduation. Q-asked about snow day make-up. A- Pulaski Day is one of the days. Q-Who gives the info about A/P Scholars from our school. A- by board members The IL. State Scholar Association sends information in to the paper. Mrs. Wilson says that the board is welcome to put something up on the marquee outside.

6. SPORTS COALITION MEETING TOM CHUCHNA * Raffle - Terry still has some tickets- $50.00 drawing Jan 22nd. Thank you extended to Jude for the message regarding open house and how gifted was handled.

7. ATHLETIC DIRCECTOR TERRY NIEDZWIECKI * Monday Feb 28th is spring pre season meeting. Feb. 14, 15, 18th - Regionals Girls Basketball. Booster Club can run concessions. Bowling is doing well. Won 2 tournaments. Sectionals at Park Lanes. Girls basketball won a trophy. Questioned asked why is it dark on visitor side of gym. Answered two lights are out. Comment by Board Member listening to talk radio and Auburn seemed to be topic of discussion no soap in dispensers. Answer , right due to vandalism the students destroy them. Question Any word on academic eligibility. Answer all AD's are in favor of clean slate for freshman.

8. FINANCIAL REQUESTS *Sleger- Theaterfest $518 musical written *Drummond - Library encyclopedias $849 for last year edition or $634 older edit. Current edition in library 1997 written *Heden-Girls Track $488 high jump pad Auburn will get a new track next year but the pad is not included they will do a pole vault pit *Mrizek-baseball $1,119.88 infield mix, 66 tons, written. Preparing to host Regionals in 2006. *Lizer-Girls Soccer $400 Adidas bags written *Niedzwiecki-Banners If board wants to give approx cost $2,500 sample of banner material brought in. *Mindach-ROTC $257.50 color guard equipment *Hoffman-Band letter read need about $895 for trip

9. BANQUET KATHRYN Can get Sam's for less than $15 per person which includes a drink but not dessert. Room seats 400. Date June 7th . Motion made by Randy to reserve Sam's, 2nd by Val, passed unanimously. Janice will contact Dr. Thompson. Honorees to dress-up. Head coaches, special guest and student will be free. Parents will pay. Instead of dessert Gina will put together a table top of treats for players. Start time 6;30 p.m. Terry will do press and invitations.

10. Substance Abuse Awareness Action Items Janice Meeting last week overview action items ! Would like Rosecrance graduates to come in to talk to students. 2. Health class is mandatory-have Rosecrance students talk during this class, Janice will bring up in school improvement meeting. 3. Contract for sport players and extracurricular groups. 4. Open up homes for kids to go to after games/movies etc.. Suggestions were to put something in newsletters, email, pre-prom crash, phone directory.

11. Financial RequestsVoting All request were reviewed, discussed and voted upon by the board. Approved - Theatrefest-$518, Band $450, ROTC-$257.50, Library $849, Track $488, Baseball $750, Soccer $400.
